About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Happy Tails Company online store and to any order you place with us. Happy Tails Company is a South African business. You can reach us through the Contact page.

By placing an order you agree to these terms. Nothing here limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is unavailable or a price was listed in error, we will contact you and refund you in full.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately unless a promotion states otherwise, and the final amount is shown at checkout before you pay.

Payment is processed by Yoco through Shopify’s secure checkout. We do not see or store your card details.

Delivery

We deliver within South Africa. Delivery timeframes given on the site are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. See our shipping policy for current rates and timeframes.

Returns and cancellation

Our returns policy forms part of these terms. Your statutory rights, including any right to cancel or to return defective goods under South African law, are not affected.

Product information

We describe our products as accurately as we can. Measurements are approximate and colours may vary slightly between screens and the item you receive.

Pet products carry ordinary risks. Supervise your pet during play, choose products suited to your pet’s size, and stop using and replace any item that becomes damaged or worn.

Third-party services

Some products work alongside services provided by others, such as Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. Those services are operated by their respective owners under their own terms, and we do not control their availability or performance.

Our liability

We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of reasonably suitable quality. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability under the Consumer Protection Act.

Intellectual property

The Happy Tails Company name, logo, imagery and site content belong to us and may not be copied or used commercially without our written permission.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
